The One Thing Realtors Know About You

Today, I want to share the one thing Realtors know about you that could be costing you thousands of dollars.

According to the National Association of Realtors, 85% of you will hire the first Realtor you interview. 85% of you won’t interview multiple agents, you won’t ask me for my performance, you won’t shop around for someone who outperforms the market. Nope. If you are part of that 85% you will hire the first person you speak to.

SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN TO YOU?

It means Realtors typically don’t have to worry about their performance.

Why? Because we know you’re not going to interview us. You’re just going to hire me if I get there first. It doesn’t matter how much better or worse I am than other agents. All that matters is how fast I am.

That’s how you behave, and we Realtors know that.
It also means that if I can convince you to let me put a sign in your yard and sell your house, other people will call me. It doesn’t matter if I tell you the wrong price for your home, overprice it, and the property sits on the market for a long time. I will get business from my sign whether your house sells or not.

If I happen to work for a company with a lot of signs in your area, I have already occupied a large space in your mind. If you call me because you’ve seen my company’s sign, 85% of you are just going to hire the first person you talk to.

But there’s something you can do about that.

“You need to interview multiple agents.”

Interview multiple agents. Look, your home is likely the most expensive asset you’ll ever have. Wouldn’t it make sense for you to call for bids? Gather a bunch of information about different Realtors and make a decision based on data. Look for the agent that sells the most homes in the least amount of time for the most money.

If you’re interested in getting my Roadmap to Avoid Hiring the Wrong Agent, give me a call or send me an email. This has all the steps you need for interviewing and hiring an agent and I am happy to share them with you.

I look forward to hearing from you!
